It is through my own journey with Nutrition and Fitness that I discovered the beauty of hard work, discipline, and determination.
By the age of 40 I had reached my goal, but the most amazing thing was that every year after that, I have continued to surpass that goal and become better. Not just physically, but professionally, emotionally, and spiritually as well.
What I have learned through my own journey was life changing for me, so much so, that I quit my career job as an Educator of 20 years to pursue my passion job of helping others reach their goals of becoming the best version of themselves. Nothing gives me greater joy than working with people to help them achieve their goals, supercharge their lifestyles, and live their best life!
We all start somewhere!
I didn’t always have this body and it wasn’t until after having my three kids that I became a fitness fanatic. I was always thin growing up, but not fit. After having my kids, I became very motivated to get my body back to my much smaller frame. While I was no stranger to group classes like Aerobics, and Kickboxing back in the day, I really didn’t have any experience with weight-training at all. So, at the age of 35, I set a goal for myself. I decided that by the age of 40, I would be in the best shape of my life.
I worked hard and began to see rapid changes in my body I became obsessed with how to accelerate my achievements. That’s when I began reading all the fitness and nutrition books that I could get my hands on. The more I read, the more I wanted to know, and the more I realized that the only way I was going to hit my goal was by changing my body from the inside out. Anyone who really knows me, will also tell you that when I decide to do something I GO ALL IN, so learning on my own wasn’t enough! I wanted to get certified and learn proper technique and nutrition protocols.
And that’s how Fit At Forty was born.
